![]() ) I did try melodyne for that, but it was only the limited demo version and didn't work much better than the plugin I use with Audacity. The one thing it won't do - or won't do very well - is pitch correction of vocals. Plus of course, it handles as many tracks as I need. (I rarely find any preset drum patterns I like.) And Audacity enables extremely fine manipulation of timing very easily (which I find I always need for stuff I play in in real time. And I have 100s of good drum samples I can put together for any rhythm I want. ![]() Click to expand.Is there a particular DAW you'd recommend for all that?ĪTM I do have Sibelius and its (pretty good) sound samples, which I use for any instrument that I can't play myself (sometimes even for one I can, like bass).
